U.S. President Donald J. Trump issued a stark and ominous ultimatum to Iran on Friday morning, warning of “much worse” devastation unless Tehran agrees to a new deal to halt its aggression and nuclear ambitions.
The President’s message, delivered through his official social media account, marks his most forceful public statement since the Israeli Defense Forces launched Operation Rising Lion, a widespread assault on Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure. Trump’s tone was unambiguous, suggesting that future strikes some already “planned” would be “even more brutal” unless Iran backs down.
“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried… they just couldn’t get it done,” Trump wrote. “Certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!”
The President emphasized that both the U.S. and Israel possess “the most lethal military equipment anywhere in the world, BY FAR,” and issued a final call to Tehran to de-escalate before, in his words, “there is nothing left” of what he referred to as the “once known Iranian Empire.”
“There has already been great death and destruction… JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE,” he concluded, closing with, “God Bless You All!”
Trump’s Statement Comes Amid Escalating Israeli Campaign
Trump’s warning comes as Israeli forces expand their campaign inside Iran, striking over 100 strategic targets, including enrichment facilities in Natanz, missile plants in Khondab, and IRGC outposts near Tehran. One of the most notable strikes occurred near Tabriz Airport, where multiple explosions were reported in the early hours of Friday.
In response, Iran launched over 100 drones and missiles toward Israeli territory, many of which passed through Iraqi airspace before being intercepted by Israeli and Jordanian defense systems.
The Israeli government has declared a state of emergency and continues to warn citizens of potential long-range missile attacks. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that the campaign will continue “as long as it takes” to dismantle Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
