Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Industries Limited, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the positive economic impact of the crude-for-naira swap initiative. Dangote noted that the policy has contributed to lowering the cost of petroleum products across Nigeria.
In a move to provide relief to Nigerians, Dangote Refinery recently reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N970 to N899.50 per litre. To ensure this reduction benefits consumers, the refinery has partnered with MRS to retail petrol nationwide at N935 per litre. This new pricing has already taken effect in Lagos and will expand to all states starting Monday.
Dangote urged other oil marketers, including NNPC Retail, to collaborate in making high-quality petrol available to Nigerians at more affordable rates. He emphasized that the initiative aims to improve access to cost-effective fuel while promoting fair pricing in the market.
