Airtel Africa Plc led gains on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) today with a 4.76% increase, contributing a N376 billion boost to equity and lifting the NGX by 0.47%. The NGX’s All-Share Index closed at 100,503.21 points, marking its highest level since April 18.
Despite a bearish performance among banking stocks, the market saw an overall capitalization increase of N257 billion, reaching N56.908 trillion. However, market breadth remained negative with 29 stocks declining compared to 24 gaining, alongside a 64.3% decrease in trading volume to 392.795 million shares, down from 1.099 billion shares traded yesterday.
