Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has expanded its services in Ghana by introducing the Pay With Bank Transfer feature. This integration, done in partnership with Affinity Bank, will enable businesses to receive payments securely and efficiently through bank transfers.
Bank transfers are gaining popularity in Ghana, with over 115 million such transactions recorded in 2023. While Mobile Money remains the dominant payment method, the growing adoption of bank transfers highlights the increasing diversity in digital payment options.
Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola pointed out the company’s commitment to supporting African businesses. “By making payment options like Pay With Bank Transfer available for everyday use, we are expanding access to payments and enabling local businesses to thrive,” he said.
The new payment option will allow businesses to use virtual accounts for transactions, providing a secure and transparent process. This will not only simplify payments for enterprises and small businesses but also offer customers a seamless way to pay.
Geoffrey Fiador, Flutterwave’s Manager of Country Operations and Partnerships, noted that the move would help businesses increase revenue. “We’re providing an easy way for them to grow by delivering essential payment options,” he stated.
This development follows Flutterwave’s recent approval by the Bank of Ghana to provide inward remittance services. Operating in over 34 countries, Flutterwave continues to expand its presence across Africa, offering businesses innovative financial solutions to drive economic growth.
