The popular Tanzanian bongo flava singer Mandojo has died tragically. The talented artist, who was known for songs such as “Give Me”,” “Wanok Nok” and “Dingi”,” was tragically beaten to death in Dodoma after being mistaken for a thief.
Mandojo was a member of the renowned Mandojo and Domokaya Group, which had a significant impact on Tanzania’s music industry. His unexpected death has caused upheaval in the music industry and beyond.
Fellow musician Anselm Tryphone, also known as Soggy Doggy, confirmed the sad news on social media. “My heart aches deeply. I will miss you very much, my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. “Human life on this earth is very short,” Soggy Doggy wrote, mourning the death of a close friend.
Mandojo died just days before his birthday, which makes the tragedy all the more poignant. Domo Kaya, his longtime colleague, also expressed his grief online, writing: “I can’t believe the 22nd of this month was supposed to be your birthday. This is incredibly sad. Rest in peace, brother.
