President Donald Trump has once again launched a scathing attack on tech billionaire Elon Musk, denouncing the electric vehicle (EV) mandate and accusing Musk of depending on massive government subsidies to keep his companies afloat.
In a bold statement, President Trump reminded the public that his opposition to the EV mandate has always been a cornerstone of his policy stance.
“Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate,” Trump stated. “It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign.”
The President clarified that while he has no issue with electric vehicles themselves, he firmly opposes forcing Americans into owning them. “Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one,” he emphasized.
Taking direct aim at Musk’s business empire, Trump claimed: “Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa. No more rocket launches, satellites, or electric car production and our Country would save a FORTUNE.”
The President ended his remarks with a pointed jab: “Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!”
