The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has unveiled plans to extend the Lagos Red Line metro rail beyond its current endpoint at Agbado to Kajola. This proposed extension aligns with the state’s vision for enhanced regional connectivity and infrastructure development. The announcement was made during his presentation of the proposed 2025 budget, highlighting strategic projects aimed at transforming the state.
Governor Abiodun also revealed plans to support the extension of the Lagos Blue Line metro rail from Okokomaiko to Agbara/Lusada. Furthermore, discussions are underway regarding the potential development of the Purple Line metro rail, a significant step toward improved transportation in the region.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government continues its work on Phase 2 of the Blue Line, which will connect Mile 2 to Okokomaiko.
