Nonso Temisan Ajufo, better known as DJ Big N, is a well-known disc jockey in Nigeria. He just revealed the terrifying details of an attack that almost killed him. On Sunday, January 12th, the tragedy happened during what was meant to be an enjoyable evening in Johannesburg, South Africa.
DJ Big N claims that the evening got off to a good start in a posh lounge. When he chose to go to another club with a friend, however, things took a bad turn. They were ambushed by two automobiles carrying six armed guys with automatic rifles when they were stopped at a traffic light.
DJ Big N tried to flee the mayhem but was shot in the leg. One of the robbers demanded his possessions while holding a weapon to his head. Over $114,000 worth of jewelry, including a watch and chain, was difficult for him to take off. He was severely bleeding, but he was able to get back into the car, and the driver quickly took him to a local hospital.
His survival was deemed remarkable by doctors because the bullet barely missed a major bone and artery. DJ Big N said that his mother’s prayers and divine intervention were the reasons he survived.
As he reflected about the incident, he said that it changed his perspective and that he was thankful for life. “Material belongings have no value.” He asserted that validation is pointless and that life is brittle.
Armed robbery is a recurring problem in many locations across the world, and DJ Big N’s narrative serves as a reminder of its hazards. He urged people not to pass judgment on South Africa based just on the deeds of a few bad actors, acknowledging the country’s kindness and beauty despite the terrifying experience.
