Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a significant reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), lowering it to N899.50 per litre as part of efforts to ease the financial burden on Nigerians during the holiday season.
This latest price adjustment follows an earlier reduction to N970 per litre on November 24, underscoring the refinery’s commitment to providing affordable energy solutions.
Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group, revealed in a statement that the refinery has also introduced an innovative consumer benefit program. Under the offer, customers can purchase an additional litre of fuel on credit for every litre bought with cash, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
“This holiday season, we are committed to reducing transportation costs for Nigerians,” Chiejina stated. “PMS is now available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM) facilities. Additionally, our special credit offer will allow consumers to enjoy more value during this period.”
The company also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and reiterated its dedication to delivering high-quality, competitively priced petroleum products that are both environmentally friendly and engine efficient.
Highlighting its role in transforming Nigeria’s petroleum industry, the Dangote Refinery emphasized its capacity to meet 100% of the country’s refined petroleum needs, with surplus production available for export. With a processing capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the refinery stands as the largest single-train refinery globally, positioning Nigeria as a key player in the global energy market.
This announcement comes as Nigerians prepare for the festive season, with Dangote Refinery stepping up to ensure affordable and reliable fuel availability across the nation.
