The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed Blessed Happy Homes Superstore, located on 6th Avenue, 13th Road, Festac Town, for selling expired products and violating health and safety regulations.
The agency’s enforcement team discovered that the store’s practices posed significant risks to customers, compromising consumer well-being. Expired goods on sale were deemed hazardous, prompting LASEPA to take immediate action to safeguard public health.
A spokesperson for the agency reiterated the government’s commitment to enforcing strict compliance with safety standards in the interest of residents. “This serves as a warning to all businesses that endanger public health through negligence or unethical practices,” the spokesperson stated.
Residents have applauded the action, calling for stricter monitoring of retail outlets across the state to prevent such incidents.
