The Federal Government has allocated funds to settle the overdue salaries of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities (NASU). This announcement was made by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) in a statement released in Abuja.
In addition to settling NASU salaries, the government has also provided funds for the payment of retirement benefits to members of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners Contributory Pension Scheme Sector (NUPCPS).
The OAGF confirmed that payments to non-academic staff at federal universities have already begun, with numerous staff members reporting successful receipt of their salaries. The office emphasized its ongoing commitment to supporting the welfare of Nigerian workers and retirees.
