The Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been thrown into mourning following the passing of its chairman, Chief Mrs. Bolatito Shobowale, after a prolonged illness.
Shobowale, who had been absent from office for nearly a year due to health challenges, passed away just days after Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, appointed her deputy, Otunba Oladipupo Oluwaloni, as the acting chairman. The governor’s decision to appoint Oluwaloni came after Shobowale’s extended absence, ensuring the continuity of governance in the LCDA.
Her passing marks the end of a dedicated public service career, leaving a legacy of leadership and commitment to the people of Ayobo-Ipaja. The council and its residents mourn her loss, even as the newly appointed acting chairman steps up to lead the LCDA forward.
May her soul rest in peace.
