Nigerian Air Force personnel reportedly launched an aggressive raid on the headquarters of Ikeja Electric (IE) and its Ikeja business unit earlier today. The confrontation, which stemmed from a disagreement over electricity disconnection, escalated into violent clashes, with the company’s CEO, Mrs. Folake Soetan, at the center of the altercation.
Eyewitnesses claim that uniformed personnel stormed the Alausa-based office, demanding an immediate power reconnection despite allegations of outstanding bills and prior instances of electricity theft. When their demands were not met, tensions boiled over, leading to destruction within the facility.
Sources report that the officers vandalized property, forcibly searched the premises for the CEO, and, upon finding Mrs. Soetan, allegedly assaulted her. Disturbingly, they are said to have forced her into the trunk of a vehicle before leaving the premises.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, but the attack has sparked widespread outrage and concerns over the use of force in civilian disputes.
