The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has invited former President Olusegun Obasanjo to visit the recently rehabilitated Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State.
The invitation comes after Obasanjo, in a recent interview with Channels Television, expressed doubts about the refinery’s operational status.
In response, the NNPCL outlined its milestones and extended an invitation for the former leader to see the facility’s progress firsthand.
“We recognize and value the insights and leadership of former President Obasanjo. We invite him to witness the strides we’ve made in revitalizing the Port Harcourt Refinery,” the statement read.
The company emphasized its commitment to Nigeria’s development and noted that Obasanjo’s visit would be an opportunity to showcase the refinery’s achievements under NNPCL’s management.
