Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has announced he is taking an indefinite leave of absence due to a serious medical situation affecting his family.
In a statement released on Saturday to the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Ngelale explained that his decision followed extensive consultations with his family over recent days. He described the medical issue as increasingly troubling.
Ngelale detailed in his memo that he is stepping away from his roles, including his duties as Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Official Spokesperson for the President, Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen. He expressed his regret over the timing but emphasized the necessity of addressing these pressing family health concerns.
He concluded by requesting privacy for himself and his family during this challenging period and expressed hope for his return to public service once the situation improves.
