Over three months of nonstop music, fashion, art, food, sports, and youth empowerment activities will take place throughout the city during the festival, which is scheduled to run from September 26, 2025, to January 4, 2026. Lagos, Nigeria’s entertainment capital, will be a hive of activity for 101 days in a row.
During the unveiling, government representatives stated that the initiative is more than just a fun activity; it is a plan to increase tourism, support the hospitality industry, and generate employment in the creative industry. With events ranging from fashion shows and concerts to sporting competitions and cultural parades, the festival is expected to draw both domestic and foreign tourists.
The “Skills Up Lagos” program, which emphasizes youth empowerment by providing workshops and training in subjects like digital skills, creative arts, and entrepreneurship, will be one of the highlights. This action is in line with the state’s goal of providing youth with the tools they need to succeed in a cutthroat global economy.
Lagos will offer its renowned street cuisine and fine dining culture to foodies, and art lovers can anticipate exhibitions honoring the city’s rich history. With city-wide competitions and community tournaments scheduled over the 101 days, sports fans will also have their fair share of action.
The initiative has already been dubbed a “game changer” by tourism experts, who predict that the festival period will see a significant boom for small businesses, restaurants, hotels, and transportation.
