Tragic news has struck the Nollywood industry with the death of Yoruba film legend Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi, better known by his stage name Bobo B. The actor, who had captivated audiences with his performances for years, reportedly battled health issues before passing away.
After being brought to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Bobo B’s condition deteriorated. The governor of TAMPAN (Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria) in Oyo State, Yeye Bose Akinola, confirmed his death. Bobo B, a well-respected individual in the industry, served as TAMPAN’s National Secretary until his passing.
Fans, friends, and coworkers have come flooding in to pay their respects for his commitment to the Yoruba film business. A lasting impression has been made on Nigerian cinema by the late actor, and his departure will be much missed.
Along with his followers worldwide, the entire TAMPAN family is grieving the loss of one of Nollywood’s veterans. For many years to come, the industry will remember Bobo B’s legacy. I hope he finds peace.
